The Choirs of St. Martin in the Fields
Our choirs provide musical offerings for other occasions besides Sunday worship services. The Canterbury and Chancel Choir do a major concert each spring. Works in the past have included Faure’s Requiem, Schubert’s Mass in G and Vivaldi’s Gloria. The children’s choirs present a pageant on Christmas Eve, and a concert or musical each spring.
Members of our choirs find that this participation heightens the spirituality of the liturgy. Just as lay eucharistic ministers and acolytes find joy in their leadership ministries, choir members find great satisfaction in leading the congregation in song.
No auditions or experience are required. We welcome everyone with the desire to make a commitment to experience the rewards of making a “joyful noise unto the Lord” with us on Sunday mornings.
